What got me into personal finance was exactly that: being faced with my own personal finances for the first time.

I started working my first full-time job in public accounting as an auditor in January 2022. Being someone who is always looking to optimize, I set out to learn everything I could about my personal finances; I wanted to make every dollar that was coming my way from my first full-time job worthwhile.

About a year or so later, after several conversations with friends and coworkers (a lot of them accountants), I realized some things that are true and frightening:

most of us don’t know how to manage our money;
most of us feel some stress because of it;
most of us want (and know that we need) to be better, but do nothing about it anyway.

I decided I could do something about it. Between my understanding of the numbers (CPA), my ability to deliver the necessary education (MAT), and my fondness for sniffing out reality (CFE), I am well equipped to assist those who want and need the help. So, here I am, late on a Monday night drafting the About Me page for my hand-made Trident Financial Coaching LLC business website.

The bridge I am trying to gap is between people who want to get better with their personal finances and what are probably the hardest parts of the process: getting started and sticking with it.

That’s why I’ve put in the work to make Trident Financial Coaching a reality. That’s why I’m here, late on a Monday night drafting the About Me page for my hand-made business website. I want to help you help yourself.
